Sugarloaf Congregation
of Unitarian Universalists
Committed to helping each other
improve health and wellness
in a supportive, caring, and
trusting environment
As a response to the needs of a growing number of members of the congregation's for health and wellness services, Sugarloaf Congregation of Unitarian Universalists (SCUU) is offering a health and wellness program to its members. There has been a long history of health promotion by religious groups throughout the world. To meet the specific needs of our congregation, the SCUU Health and Wellness Project has been established for improving our span of quality, healthy life, decreasing the health disparity, and providing access to preventive care. This project is an outgrowth of the ministry of the SCUU congregation of Germantown, MD, and is shared with the surrounding community. It includes events and resources such as a health professionals resource list, support groups, caring committee, lecture series, annual health fairs, library, fitness events, and networking with community health and wellness resources. You will find more specific information through announcements, the bulletin board, the newsletter and the website. This project is free to all.
